NayaScore™: what objective measurement makes possible
FAQ
How does rTMS improve cognitive performance?
rTMS uses gentle, targeted magnetic pulses to stimulate the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, the region governing working memory, executive function, attention and decision-making under pressure. Repeated stimulation encourages neuroplastic adaptation, strengthening connectivity across the executive control networks and improving how efficiently the brain processes, holds and acts on information.
What does the evidence show for rTMS and cognitive performance?
The evidence base for rTMS in cognitive enhancement is well established and growing. A landmark meta-analysis by Xu et al. (2023), drawing on 53 studies and over 1,500 participants, confirmed that high-frequency rTMS produces significant improvements in accuracy, reaction times and executive function in healthy adults, with the most pronounced effects when targeting the DLPFC.
How soon will I notice improvements?
Response varies by individual, but many clients notice changes in focus, mental clarity and cognitive stamina within as little as five sessions. Some improvements continue to develop after your treatment as neuroplastic change consolidates. Your NayaScore™ baseline is measured at the outset and tracked throughout, giving you an objective picture of what is shifting across each session.
Is rTMS safe?
rTMS is extremely safe and well tolerated. It is non-invasive, requires no anaesthesia, and has no systemic side effects. Where side effects occur, they are mild and transient, most commonly a mild headache or some fatigue on the night of treatment. The only clinically significant risk is seizure, occurring in fewer than 0.0016% of treatments. It has never occurred at Naya Health.
How many sessions will I need?
The optimise protocol is designed around efficiency. Each session delivers gentle, targeted magnetic pulses in three minutes of active stimulation, and clinically meaningful improvements can be observed from as little as five sessions. With multiple sessions possible in a single day, the full protocol can be completed quickly and around your schedule.
Who is the optimise protocol for?
The optimise protocol is designed for executives, founders, traders and other high performers who depend on sharp, sustained cognitive function. It is also suited to anyone held back by brain fog, difficulty concentrating, or a sense that their thinking is not as clear as it should be under high demand. The protocol targets focus, working memory, executive function and cognitive endurance: the neural foundations of clear thinking under sustained load.
